A journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step. The first step of creating Švabić Winery took place in 2020, and we know how much courage it took to venture into any business venture amid the coronavirus pandemic.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. The founding of Švabić Winery took place in 2020, and we know how much courage it took to embark on any business venture during the COVID-19 pandemic.

An inherited vineyard dating back to about forty years covers 90 acres. Sixty acres are planted with 2,200 vines of Smederevka, and the remaining 30 have 200 Tamjanika vines. Their Smederevka is named “Milo vino”, and the red wine “Jablan” is named after motifs from a story by Petar Kočić, which symbolizes strength. Currently, they have only Hamburg red wine, but in the future, in the plan are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as a rosé wine named “Puce.”

Their next step will be wine production, and the winery is currently registered for up to 20,000 litres per year.
