In life, everything we do must be underpinned and motivated by some noble purpose and goal. The idea of Monastery Fenek Winery was born precisely to lead to the restoration of the eponymous medieval monastery with a tradition dating back nearly six centuries. When, in 2006, a new brotherhood settled in the nearly abandoned monastery in Jakovo, it was clear that Fenek needed both spiritual and material restoration, and that it was impossible without their effort and work. Five years later, a winery was founded, which now produces 10,000 litres of the finest red and white wines. The tradition of monastic wine production has been revived, without which liturgical life would not be possible.
